Lamps and Sharon

Yesterday I chatted with Sharon on line, for some reason on Sunday all my friends especially Sharon was on my mind. I thought about her allot and prayed that god bless her and make her happy. She has to be one the kindest person's I have ever met in all my years.
Of all the people I have met, which is tons, I mean tons of people Probably more than the average person, Sharon has made the most impacted on me. I feel that we all have a purpose in this life.
When we are born, we are giving the gifts of life, to which some of us take years to find or to seek out what we were born to be. Other's are open to them and know immediately in childhood what we were meant to be or our purpose in life. Some of us go through life blinded, never knowing who or what we are meant to do or be, yet they complain about there lives... not knowing that in each of us is a special purpose. Open yourself up listen to the still small voice and allow yourself to see what it is that makes you and others happy. When I do things for others big or small, for example last night the girls here showed up, I had some Ice cream just offered to strangers the ice cream to be kind. The one girl I never seen before had such a smile on her face, because of my willingness to give and share.

From the begining, I knew what I was, A giver a inspirer, a helper, a instructor, an aritst, a comic, and a hard worker.

Sharon is a giver and gives freely, the true success to life is giving, maybe not monitarily but in wealth in your life, and your spirit. Sharon is an encourager, she always look's to the best in a person. Her purpose in life is to inspire others to be who they are and be darn good at it. She knew from the time she was young I am sure. A self assured woman who is a great help to many women now.

When I first met Sharon, She was not as assured as she is today... through friendships this became strong. This woman has helped me and continues to help even though I am a million miles away In Costa Rica. Sunday I was thinking strongly about her, to find out that Sunday was a day of sadness for her. Knowing her children are growing fast and that they eventually will leave the nest. All mothers go through this, but I knew she was on Sunday as I could feel her in m heart.

I say to Sharon, you are my best friend, a strenght to me and not to worry the boys will love you forever as you are a good mom, and good friend to them. Boy's are tough they can really wear you down, keep your chin up and know that eventually you will have Grandchildren. The proces never ends, So cheer up! You have many who love you Including me!

Today no work out, I felt sore and heahacy again God what is this five days now of headache..

I woke to men tapping at the gate. The were here to fix the drawers in the kitchen.. Long story short. The people who work around here are very different. Craftsmanship is not a term. Its more like bunglers, they do things in a half way mannor. These drawers where new, but they made them wrong and never fixed them. I told Eida about them and I guess she called the guy to come. you couldn't even open them they just looked good. HAAA oh well not my house!

I AM GOING TO THE DENTIST, HOPE THIS IS A GOOD EXPERIENCE! If it comes out pretty I will show you!

DAng there is some fiesta or something going on, there is Sirens and A loud band playing right now I have no idea who or what it is!! its loud S

Fish scale earings, pedicures and Fire flies

Daniela, before Work, half asleep Lamps made in Costa Rica

Helene, and Maris foot, Fish scale earings

Ok went to the dentist, much to my suprise it was a very attractive women dentist. She was reccomended to me by Eida , I been spelling her name wrong and I just discovered if so if your reading Eida I'm sorry. Earlier in the day I took a cab to the dentist. Cost all of .75 cents but we didn't go far. I wanted Gloria bell to go with me to explain in case I bumbled it up. But I did not need her anyway. The dentist was very nice, and assured me that she would fix both my teeth and make them all white!
She sorta quoted a price, but I will tell ya tomorrow what it actually was, Needless to say MUCH LESS THAN THE STATES.

Gloria had to go to work down the road so I walked her to work but on the way I found this cute little apartment that said Italians here! So I asked and they suggested I return around 7:00. continuing foward. We walked to Glorias work, stood outfront and chatted with one of her managers. Ok all the men here are flirty, GOD!! He just talked and talked, I was hungry and wanted to leave, the dogs at the pet store were barking and the birds in the cages were screaching. Thus making me very antsy to leave.
I did I walked back about a mile I think?
But on the way I stopped every here and there looking at things and actually taking time to see stores and where things were. I searched for a pedicure . I found two salons, with prices varying from 8 to 12 dollars for one. I also found several Internet Cafes. Along with a great homemade Ice cream shop, a new bakery, and a really cute clothing store.
I had a good time especially with the clothing store, it was airconditioned!!! Yep I stayed in there till my body cooled down felt great .

I saw several things I would love to have, I kept walking till I got to this Soda Called the bannana, I wanted Ceviche, so I sat and ordered it and a drink of watermelon in water with ice. They were all out, so disapointed and hungry I walked toward the house.

I knew that the tiny little barber shop next to the bycyletta shope. So I kept going till I got to that alley. I decided to eat a subway sandwich which was a very bad choice. Ok it was terrible I will admit. I order tuna thinking it would be fresh and good and um like the states. NOT! it was sour, well I have been sick all day since I ate it. They use some sort of dressing on it, no pepperocinis, I love those.
I did put avocado on it that was the best part. I ate it because I was starving but honestly Eat local food I learn a lession there.
I drank a big bottle of Moya and that as a mistake too since the acid in the black berry would really mix with the Tuna and make you Just want to ralph!
Pukey puke... EUWWWWWWWEEEE
By and by I went to the pedicure shop and asked if they could do it now. This place is all of about 8 foot wide and around 7 foot deep, With four people stuck in there at once, she did a pedicure but it was very simple. A pan of hotwater, and a towel on her lap while she sat on a milk crate and a pillow on top. Around Two hours later beautiful toes!! it was nice to just relax and not worry about any time or deadlines just let her work and work on the toes! she even put little rhinestones on them.. It cost me 3000.00 Colones around $6.00 American Dollars.

Then Iwalked down the road to the house, stopped to Show Daniela my new toes!! she was too buys with customers to look. So I just walked home. Waited a while and went back to see the apartment with Eida. Eida wanted to ride the bike with me to show me the apartments she knew of then all of a sudden the lights went out in the whole town, We jumped off the bikes and walked and Thats when I saw all the fireflies... First time ever I saw them.. how cute they lit up the whole field. I had to stop and watch. We kept going to the main road then the lights came back. I went alone to see that Apartment NOPE IT WAS ROTTEN! NOT for me a cracker box with only a hard cardboard bed practically. Came home worked on a bid and sent all my photos to tosh and then we chatted on line he likes my pics so hopefully soon we will be sending this to the states, Canada, and maybe Japan. If you like them let me know ok?

I been sitting working on Internet stuff for hours now when Daniela came back by after her work to visit and eat hocoyte's an ugly little verde ( green) thing that I do not like no matter how many times I eat them they remind me of something I tried to eat as a kid like green walnuts, they are really strange they put salt on them. She brought me Memones, but I didn't eat them yet. She left and returned with Martha her amiga... we ate hilado, ( ice Cream) There is Daniela! finnally you can see her.

Lunes , Monday, Bonito dia Wow a beautiful Day!

Yesterday was mostly filled with gray skies, and much rain, Uvia. Althought I wanted to go to Manuel Antonio, the rain was too much so I decided to stick around town and just ride my bike all over possibly looking for an Apartmenthotel for the next month. I got a skirt and a black tanktop on and my black sparkly sandals and jumped on the bike and rode. It was kinda hot not bad, actually it was the best weather I have seen since I have been here. Not too hot not to humid and some breezes. I rode from my house to the end of Jaco, where the jazz Casino is. I went in and asked how much for the month. It is a very nice place with grounds that are very manicured. Courtyards, fountains and ponds three restuarants, and two bars. Two pools . But WOW EXPENSIVE over $2000 for a month. Guess I won't be staying there.

I continued on my bike to a little strange store, where I saw two prostitutes hanging out one was very flacka the other was muy Gorda. One was REALLY SKINNY the other VERY FAT. They both were homeless one's you could tell very dirty and really worn out. Sad but I didn't stare a much just kept on pedaling. This road is very potholish, muddy and rough.. I still didn't feel well and the bumps seems to agitate my Kidneys and head ache. Turning around in the middle of the road and riding back toward town, noticed this man with his car open, and in it was memones, and some other fruits selling it right out of the car. I wanted some memoes, I crave those since there are no Sour gummy worms here, so I stopped and got off the bike to look. YUK all black, and old and rotten. NOPE I climbed back on and rode on, next to this security guard for one of the hotels. he smiled and I did too. I rode all over looking up and down the little short streets that lead to the ocean for anything.. I saw Chickens and old run down houses, and bars on the windows and piles of Garbage... groups of men sitting and laughing and doing there Sunday visit.

This is a Very Sleepy town on Sunday. Most of the business are closed on Sunday So the ride was much quieter than any other day of the week. I did see some new apartments Great color, kinda tuscan yellow but the location sucked. Right on the corner by my gym facing the Entrance to Jaco, not good too much noise. I dunno Maybe I will check it out later.

Keep riding, untill I see this shop that has all Tico souvieneers, so I stop to take photos and make a list For Tosh. When I pulled my bike in I dropped my umbrella right in front of this man who looked like he was an American, but Mexican decent. He stopped to pick it up and said In spanish you dropped your umbrella, then he said do you speak English I said Yes, he said Wow your a pretty lady. I said Thank you and went about my business and just smiled.

I talked to the little gal in the shope and asked the products in there and if they could buy lots? or if I could? she gave me the number of the owner and I took lots of photos, which I will post separately next.
I continued on and wanted to get some good coffee, I was hot but thought that the coffee would make my head feel better... but no there was only one place open Trabacone, and it had too many men sitting in the front. I felt uncomfortable to walk in too many stares. As I rode I saw this car with someone in it , he was waving by by to me.. I just smiled and wave then as I passed the car he got out and aked me if he could take my photo?? I said of course you can. He said I can not leave Jaco with out a picture of you. I said fine, I asked him where he was from??
He said New Mexico, and was working for Intel In San Jose. He took a weekend for a holiday in Jaco, actually a date he had in Parrita. But decided to come to Jaco for the afternoon. He then asked me where I was going?? I said Oh I wanted Expresso or Coffee. He then invited me to go. I said yes, he seemed like a nice person, a good smile and nice kind voice. I could tell he wasn't fake so I thought Why not? I told him I would meet him down there with my bike to Trabacone We met had a very good Cappucino, and talked about all sorts of things. He was on a project at Intel to deside where buildings should go on a plan for development there in San Jose. He is an Architec for the company.

Funny he showed me his photos, and it was like I took the photos? very similar interest in nature and living things. His photos were sellable material, really good perspective and an interesting person. He shared his life history of women with me, I tried not to say anything negative to him about it, but I was thinking that these were things to discuss at a later time. I didn't say that but it was ok he seemed comfortable telling me all his history.

We had a very nice time, finally our coffee's came, the little Tica waitress that was servinig us stepped on a cat on the way and the cat Scream loud! everyone in the whole place laughed. It was great!!! then as we were talking one of the waitresses, decided to see why the fan's were not working and flipped the breaker box, and it blew a breaked it was loud and she screamed and ran, we all laughed again.

He told me his name and we exchanged emails, his name was Stephen Milo Chavez, as we chatted he suggested we go and eat. The evening was still young and the weather was so cool for Jaco I couldn't resist his offer. He was so pleasant and so nice to be around. I suggested we go to this place up the road Called Susie Q's it was American BBQ, the gal was a friend of Glenn Wrights friend Paula, and Paula wanted me to tell her hello. So we walked the bike down toward the beach on this little one lane road, and Went to Susies.

The place was open and Susie was there, so I greeted for Paula, kissed her on the cheek as everyone does here when they say hello. She was happy that I came with Milo as we were the only ones that night.

She lit a candle at our table, mind you most of the Restuarants are outdoors with a cover over the top, so it was very pleasant. We talked, he loved the Gekos, they were kissing all the time we were talking. What I mean is the Gekos make this kissing sound, its so dang cute! he went to see them, I looked on. I have like 6 in my house so its familiar to me. Plus I saw them all over in Kauai.
As we ate dinner the conversation was good no pauses no uncomfortable moments at all. The I orded dessert, it was this Chocolate mouse with Nuts on top and some coffee flavor over the top with Coconut on the bottom and Rum poured all over it. We ate it together, then he began to feed me, I ate it and smiled at him, All of sudden I looked down the court yard of Susies, and I saw a whole group of Mariachis, walking in. They walked up playing a little and asked if we wanted to hear them? Of course we did we were the only one's in the place! they played a romantic song we he grabbed me and we danced. It was so sweet. I do not think I have ever had this happen in my life... it was very touching. After we took the bike just a half a block up the street to the ocean it was very dark the stars where shinning the tide was high. So we didn't have to walk far to walk in the warm ocean water. We played a little in it,and then walked to the river. He walked me home, we had a beer and then he left for San Jose. It seemed very dreamy this evening. I suppose it was meant that he went through Jaco as we both enjoyed each others company.
He did invite me to come To New Mexico, but till will tell everything.

I friendship to develop is what I say.

Great weekend this weekend... today nothing much took the garbage out early around 6:00 down the alley and around the corner. Then made toast in the oven and coffee, ate and computer. Got dressed and rode in the fabulous sun to the gym.
Kick Boxing today WOW HARD... I could tell I am not up to par, many stops, but a great work out.

I talked to the Transvestite, she is very nice and really pretty actually, kissed me on the cheek and greeted me Farwell.. I am making friends in the gym for sure. Although my communication is not that great, it feels like they like me???

I came back to Gloria sleeping and woke her up, now she is taking me to the dentist to see If Ican get my teeth fixed, so I have to shower and get pretty!! TALK SOON MARI

This is at the end of Jaco beach, they actually live in this and sell Coconuts thats the Costa rican flag.

Sunday: Reagae blasting, Listening to 91.1 San Jose great music. It is all of our music and them some.
I Really like this station, My thought's were when I came here I would be disconected from the American music. For all of my life music, art, and culture has been some of the most important things. These things make me alive they bring Joy to me and keep me young. I love Art I have been seeing in just this town alone some really interesting pieces. I am sure when I go to Sarchi, and Grecia, Aluelia, that I will see a whole lot more.

The Music is so interesting they play things I never heard, then all the good music we have so In essences its a great mix!

Waking up to Gloriavell in the same bed is strange, I do not know what or how I am telling her that she is going to have to find a place soon. I really need this time to be alone and think things through.

I had a bad headache yesterday and today. I really hope its not my kidneys acting up. I drank huge amounts of water but I still feel the same. Although three bottles of wine between three of us last night might have added to the Headache! GOD!! It was fun though...

I invited Aida, Joey, Kalin pronouced KAYLEEN, Tico style and Jessie over for dinner last night. They asked for of course Italian. Its easy to make here since there is allot of Italians they bring in some good products. We had gnochi, with sausage, fresh basil and tomato based sauce, my typical one that my mother taught me to make . Good Garlic bread, fried eggplant with parmesian and a nice fresh salad with the best avocate` and tomato. Wine and then for dessert this Ice cream they have here that is all flavors with lemon very refreshing in this hot climate.

We had a very nice time, I really like Aida, she is a gas, very smart, funny and pretty. Joey is more laid back, but very cool. Aida ha s lived in Costa Rica, but her decendents are European. She also lived in Sweden, and told me all about her life there and how she loved it. I thought wow what a completly different lifestyle Costa Rica, Hot Tropical, and very machismo.. and Sweden Cold Icey, and open life styles?? this lady is really cool!

She shared many stories and I have the feeling her and I are going to do some business together. She went Coo Coo When she saw my site, wants to open me a store here she is really thinking I am the bomb, I really didn't say a whole lot about my past, I just showed the site, the blog which they both thought was super cool and want to be in it! I mentioned I would take photos of them all and Jaco Bell! This I am sure will be the first of many evenings of great food and fun. HA ! SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO COOK! so I suppose it will be me!

We sat at the table out doors till 2:00 am, until I fell asleep on her, then she got on her bike since Joey took the kids and car home and rode off Baracho! ( drunk) She is so funny and so cute. Kinda like a Janet/ Me/ Clint Combined? I dunno I think she is her self but reminded me of my other amigos and amigas.

Joey and I did connect, and he is a great compliment to Aida, they're girls are really cute. He has a good sense of humor and they are like honeymooners, after all these years! He left early to take the babies to bed, and to get up early to Surf, although all the while Aida was calling him Guapo, don't go you know tomorrrow is our day! I think this is awesome. I really am happy I met some great people.

OH MY GOD the pile of dishes I have to wash, and if I haven't said this there is not hot water. We use the product in a tub you slather it on and it cleans the dishes like SNAP! Kinda cool. I was thinking that this and a couple of other things I have seen would be good to import to the states . I am sure that some eco-friendly people would eat that stuff up.
Its a bit primative, but I think I am beginging to like it actually??? Really is easy you do not fill the sink you just rinse and wash.
So that is sitting waiting for me to do. I may after get on a bus and ride up to Manuel Antonio for the afternoon, I have to see what time the bus runs.

Prior to the fiesta last night, I had cooked and cleaned up and then took a long long walk on the beach with Gloravell, we tried to talk, I learned some new words, tree, rock, and walk. Its coming along, but I am frustrated to be honest.

We walked for ever it seemed, the skies were gray and cloudy the sand here is dark and littered with volcanic red rock. It feels good on the feet in some areas. The surf was coming in, so wadeing in the water was nice and easy. The water was warm, like bath water not cold at all. I kept walking and thinking about things, went past some beach resorts I never saw and a best western with all there beach chairs on the sand.

People just sitting looking at the surf. One guy kinda heavy was sitting like doing Yoga in a folded leg position and palms out listening to some GREAT MUSIC.. Strange but interesting.

Walking further till I saw the moutains meet the beach, the Jungle connects with it at the farthest end of the beach There were three guys out in the surf, throwing lines I looked to see no poles? they use a coke bottle with line wrapped around it and and hook, toss it out and hope they catch something. Curious one that I am watched them intently took a photo .
I wanted to sit as my head was hurting and It was a long walk, very warm not a cool breeze from the Ocean. Eventually we came to the big rocks where i was told there is pools to swim in. So next week that is one of my goals.

We sat and watched the ocean for about 15 minutes when some tico dude came over and was hitting on Gloria, I didn't talk he asked her I was her grandmother? LOL I had to laugh, I wasn't concerned about there Conversation, just sitting and thinking.

Coming back it took forever, then we walked to Jaco Bell and I reafirmed the Dinner invite.
Walked back to the house down the muddy alley, having two additions with me. Jessie and Kalin, they wanted to help cook so I told them sure come on. Kalin asked me over and over to be her Tia, her auntie. I Said no problem. She told me her birthday its in January near mine making her and Aquarian. In the states my closest friends are all Aquarians, only this one is little, Darling and should be a model.

We danced as we cooked they really enjoyed themselves and me! I did too, I enjoyed there company, they want to help teach me spanish so I guess I have two new buddies.
Later Aida and Joey showed up.

Right now I ate some Mango, fresh strawberries, and fresh pineapple and of course my Coffee, I have to make a list for Tosh, my japanese friend who want's me to Export products from here. I found several Food items so far, as well as some personal Items, one in particular is a shampoo called Meil, ( honey) Its great makes my hair feel the best ever and the smell is so good not sweet very delicious like you want to drink it or eat it. I like all this companies products. So I hope I can connect them and see if it is possible?

The Rain right now is like torrential down pours, it has cooled down allot, frankly I am feeling better that it is cooler. The wind is whipping the trees and the water is running off the tin roofs like a hose is turned on them. Its loud because there are mostly tin roofs here. I am watching the water stream down from the corregated tin off the roofs, like little rivers. Its kinda inspiring, making me think of creating something to use at Christmas like water streaming down off trees. I dunno maybe I am bored! but it is different to see. Music is good and now I go. I am thinking much about my friends, Janet, and Sharon, Gerri as I look at my bracelett she gave me. Also My sons, and my daughter in laws. Sending my thoughts and my hearts to you.... I hope you have felt me I have done that... I think very hard concentrate on you and then I send my thoughts.
If not oh well it makes me happy to do this.

I bet we have gotten in the last hour at least three or so inches, I will know when I go out to the street later after it stops.

Ventana De Pacifico

This is the Guest area house at the development. The beach at playa De Ventana, and the french bread from Johnmarcs brother in laws house.

Not a very eventfull day today, got up to Gloravell tappin at the gate, made coffee twice since I forgot to put the filter in the first time. Coffee went all over. Got dressed and Rode the mile to the gym. It was step today, NOPE I HATE IT... Didn't do so well, I was not feeling so good. So kinda half way did it. Came home and blogged, Aida dropped by with this Canadian, called Chattie Cathy, stayed about 10 minutes. I kept blogging, and talking. Then I showered got all pretty I mean really pretty. That is what all the women here do. They really look nice when going out of the house. I got on m bicyclleta, and rode down the alley full of mud, and onto another alley were the Soda is, better mud not as mushy. Then to the main street, bumpier than I remember a few days ago. Stopped at the Century 21 to get the fax with the offer on the house, It was 35 thousand less than I was asking. I just looked at it threw in my basket on the bike, walked across the way talk to Aida about it. Then i took Kalin to the farmers market. That is aidas older daughter. Blonde hair blue eyes the cutest face, perfect teeth. Ten years old but going on 30. She likes to run with me while I ride the bike. I got to the market right up the street, and walk. I didn't buy the first time I just look at the price. bought some fresh yogurt made by some cheese maker guy, and some cheese with hot pepper in it. Walked to the amish booth and bought some pineapple jam. Jessie Kalins sister goes with us. She bought a little cake from them, round dark chocolate filled with cream cheese. Then I got some Melon, cucumbers, tomato's, celantro, a big bag of Mangos, White corn, Red sweet potatoes that were white in side.
As soon as we left it poured down rain, I have this knack so far except this morning when I rode back from the gym, From missing the down pours. It just rained all night after that. I talked to Aida a bit came home to fix me some sweet potato, and some veggies when Gloria vell show uped I think she has moved in untill Amanda come's home.
So when I tried to cook, I noticed that the Gas was gone in the tank. They use a tank like we use a tank for bbq,It was empty. So no dinner for me. I didn't know I had to feed her too, but I made some cucumbers, tomato, with lime and celantro, olive oil sugar, and a tiny bit of Balsemic vinegar. I cut some french bread and shared with her, and the cheese I bought. We also drank some just a glass of wine. We both tried to talk to each other, but I do not think I did so well.

This morning I woke to her again taping on the gate. So I am sure she thinks it is ok. I do not know how to tell her it isn't. Well she came showered I got out of bed and began the routine already. The Coffee of course, then I made some Fresh Yogurt with this cereal they have here that has honey in it, then I mixed in Fresh pineapple, and fresh Mango. OHHHH SO YUMMY..
I cleaned up the upstairs it was a mess, I couldn't take it anymore so I got up there and swept and picked up all the clothes and toys and put everything away. I got all ready got on the bike and went to tell Aida about dinner, I am making gnochi, Salad and Eggplant for dinner with Garlic bread. As I stopped I saw she was struggling to clean up so I mopped the outside of the Jaco BEll for her, I mention to her that the gas was gone and that I didn't know how to get more? I was almost done when this huge truck pulled up with a load of gas! I thought Wow thats cool maybe I could ask if I could buy some for the tank, and have him carry it back to the house?? Come to find out Aida called them to stop.
The young man Johnny walked with me and removed the tank and replaced, but then he noticed he heard gas leaking, It was not the tank. It ws the stove... GREAT NOW I HAVE TO FIX THE STOVE as I was having a fiesta tonight. So he showed me what was wrong it was just a fitting. He and his partner took me in the big HUGE TRUCK to the hardware store to buy the fitting.
They left me off and I walked back about five blocks, after I had to go to the century 21 to fax a number. I ended up talking to Carlo and the owner of the place. They are both American. The Owners mama just died and she was a queen of decor like me, I said maybe her spirit willed me to come here and be in Jaco, because I did not have any intention of living here.
He showed me the photos of her in the paper and how she was so talented. He saw my work and said you guys are just alike and talked and talked to me. Carlo is the Italian guy I met last week

We all sat and just talked. I tried to fax it wouldn't go, so I walked next door to the internet cafe and made a call, came back and the owner did it for me. We kidded around he wants me to cook for him too. HEY ONLY IF THESE PEOPLE PAY! I was thinking this in my head. I left walked across the street, got the bike, and left for the store. X mas permanos. But First I went to Super frutastica, a smaller store. I found a couple of things that the other store does not have.
I got on the bike with my huge water and all my stuff, when I heard a loud crash, the dang bike fender broke. It was dragging on the bike, and I had groceries, dang it. I went to find the sausage shope when it made a louder noise. I got a nail and put it in the hole where the screw was suppose to go. That only lasted a few minutes.
I had to carry all my stuff in the store which is under construction at the moment, so its hot and loud and terrible. Got the gnochi, the sausage, basil, some fresia, Fresh strawberries, Ice cream that is lemon and vanilla. Checked out to find out the fender was all bent. I was so upset, with the stove the fax, then this. This emergency paramedic guy was watching me so he came over with a screw driver and I told him to take the whole thing off and he did and threw it in the trash! YEAH I WAS HAPPY AND LAUGHED thought that is how you do here.

I rode the bike like a mad dash pedaling fast as I could so the Ice cream wouldn't melt and because I had to get home to fix the stove ,then make the sauce.
When I arrived Both Gloira vell and Danelia were sitting in the living area braiding hair. Ok I was a little put out, from all I been through and then they were just sitting pittleing around. I brought all the groceries in, then fixed the stove in the back. I put a new fitting on the pipe. I began the sauce and ate some fresh frozen yogurt, but the problem was when set it down, they ate it. GOD HOW DO I TELL THESE TWO?
I guess I don't and just let it slide, be kind and not worry. All things work out Pura vida.

Its about 3:47 now, I think I will walk to the beach for a while.I should rake all the leaves, Im feeling Tica right now I DON'T WANT TO! just now the guy that mows the lawn came drunk as a skunk didn't see Amanda, and pretty much told me to mow it myself and wanted to leave it here. I said no then Danelia told him to get the hell out of here. So that wall worked out. Except e when Amanda comes back the lawn will be a mile high! Oh well I will find someone rather than having a drunk stinking Tico here he stunk so bad Yulllllllle , then just now Danelia screamed as I was sitting here they both called me outside to see this Iguana, sitting there looking at her. He bit her toe and it was bleeding, she wanted me to help so I did. Wow an agressive Igauna. Wierd they are generally herb or leaf eating? hmm that toe must of looked good to him!

Alfredo the chef

Marianna in Playa Ventana De Pacifico. The Vacas in the Road in Manuel Antonio

Thursday, the trip to Domincal Ocycal was a long and wonderous one. The ride to begain on great highway, thought grazing flields, and lots of jungle.Soon eneded with a bridge that has been out for years, they created another one with rocks and gravel and used that instead of finishing the big one that got delayed due to some restrictions. This is a normal thing round here. The Bridge was the begining of the trek that was only on dirt and rocks and potholes that were so big that they rocked the car and rolded it around the road. Our Driver was good at dodging them actually riding on the wrong side almost the whole time.
If you have never seen a rice Field you have not seen the color green. They are so bright and full of color that it almost feels like it glows. There were many that were just Ripe for the picking.

The road was not windy or hilly mostly flat and meandered through acres and acres of Palm orchards, where the fruits were being harvested to take to the rendering plant. They would use it to make Coconut oil based products, or Coconut oil for cooking, and in many other cosmetic products you may have used. The Palm orchards just lined the road for miles, on rocky potohole.pathway. On the tops of the palms were frons of ferns sprouting out , I think they were boston type ferns, but of course not from boston! Miles of palms for as far as you could see, then stages of palms Begining at Tiny ones to year old to fully grown. Then we went over many rivers with one lane bridges made mostly of wood.
The rivers below flowing fast and filled with silt, Mark Sydney said it was good fishing like this? I have no idea why I just look at him. I see people on Bikes and just laying around in hammocks.

We finnally come to the a road that is decent, and pass a small town caller Parreta. This is an old Cow town where everyone comes to buy there supplies for the week. Vendors have storefronts but old and run down all open like stalls side by side. Showing all the modern merchandise I think this was strange, because it looked like something in early40's american style yet all the merchandise was right up to date as we know it.

We pass through Teak wood forests tall narrow trees with huge rounded leaves. Not thick but I could see the workers thining out the limb's in order to get a tall unblemished tree trunk, so that when they harvest the planks they retain from these are nearly perfect.
I saw many palm workers hacking with machete` through the thick lower foiliage. This goes on for almost two hours swerveing, swaying, bouncing. Ok by now my kidneys are killing me. If your Body is affected by the drive.

We come to a T in the Road. We make a left and to the right and the left are Fruit stands, Fruitas de vendorias. Fruit vendors. Or something like that. They have my favorite which you can recognize as you quickly drive by, Memones the lichee type fruit I like so much.
Then the road becomes ever so beautiful. Lush surroundings just like that! Palms and banana's lots of halaconias. To my left is Jungle which is north, to my right is Ocean, la Playa. but its not clearly visiable.
As we got closer to Ventana de Pacifico the development it became so pretty. I was going to stay at and visit to possibly buy a lot to build a house it became so lush. In this area it is safe no bars no crime the buildings were clearly built nicely but so far away??
We turned down this little one lane road of rock gravel and mud. on the left was a real estate office, and next to that was a bright blue building that was a bar. Beyong that was a house or two but each were saying they were a restuaant, or a Bed and breakfast such as Feliz mono. happy monkey.
They looked like plain ol houses to me but one was a french restuarant and the other a nice b&b. Meandering down the road with a river running right next to it sometimes crossing it by colvert or by driving through it. it was pretty full since this is the rainy season here now. It is still sunny, and for the most part for us Northwesterners or anyone who has been in the northwest its not even as bad as our regular rain we get all the time.
It Rains real hard for a hour or two then it stops the sun comes out and its very warm. I dunno they do not like it so allot of people leave and go elsewhere. God forbid they should live where I use to in Vancouver Washington, where the rain is constant.
The road here is really rocky, I am thinking O my god if I move her I would have to figure out how to pay for a really nice Suv or a ford four wheel drive truck high one to get over the water and the rocks. Brandon would have liked the road it was kinda fun in a way! But I had second thoughts about being so far away from everyone. I was a bit put back at first.
Then we turned left into this very jungle area, and around the a left bend up a steep hill, with ginger all along one side. IT was red ginger tall about 10 feet. The smell up there was just like purfume and I will tell you why later. I Mean it was strong perfume, but not ugly very good Que Rico is what the Ticos say.

Pulling around the hill I saw a steeper grade oh boy Im thinking, Right I am gonna move up here??? As we pulled in Mark Sydney and his driver and I saw this really awesome mediterranian style house with red roof, and grounds so manicured it looked like a 5 star hotel. OK WOW I WAS HAPPY. Since I been living the past few weeks in a very down trodden area in Jaco, with lots of Iron on the buildings no air, no tv and very little luxury. YEP I WAS HAPPY...
I saw the pool and went AWEEEE then they took my bags up these stairs and I saw from above the view over the la playa. The Montaina's and the La playa's. The beach and the mountains. GOD WAS IT BEAUTIFUL! I breathed really deep and sighed thinking I wish someone I loved was with me looking along side me with this but I held it all in and just willed it to my friends in the states. So if you were feeling something around Tues evening that was me.

I met this lady lets call her Madi, she was older than me simply dressed and wore glasses. She was From Nevada. She had bought property Sight unseen, and was there to preview it.
I myself was there to enjoy, check things out and have a great time. Which I did!!!

They served us lunch of Fresh Caught tuna, avocado, tomato, cucmbers fresh fruit and Tamarindo huego, Tamarin juice. also there were some kind of salad too, and fresh hot bread that Alfredo made. This was the begining of a great three days and two nights. Alfredo cooked for us three times a day and it was devine no lie.. I am not exaggerating this man was the best.. the flavor the style the presentation, Any of you who know me well know I am all about that.
So my little eyes were wide open and my mouth was full with every bite.

After that we had a small meeting with John marc. he is the director of the project. He drove us over a hill to his house and we all went in. WOW I WANT A HOUSE LIKE THIS it was so cool and so beautiful over looking a moutain side and a valley. with a pool and big patio all covered.
The interior was like out of a magazine. Then we proceeded to look at the construction sites that were in progress all over these steep hills and moutain sides. crossing over big rocks and flooded streams with no bridges. One was so full I thought for sure we were going to get swept aside and down over the fall. IT was very memorable I will say that. I cringed a couple of times. Then I thought OH HELL THINK OF IT AS A DISNEY LAND RIDE and just go for it.
Much better than disney could have ever thought of, But ya know??? It is possible that he traveled here and got some of his ideas because I recognize some ways of nature that they duplicated in Disney land.
Anyhow As we searched I was not really interested I thought to myself this is far to far away for me to be comfortable living here although it was so majestic, what the Tico call Traquil, peacefull. Mind you If I was married, or had a friend living with me I wouldn't hesitate at all, and what a beautiful place to leave my children after I am gone. ONE WITH A HUGE Value on it. Great investment, If I had the extra cash I would have just bought a lot and hung on to it.
We came across this ridge and looked down over all the moutains the smell in the air during the rain was sweet, very sweet, I didn't recognize it? then We saw tucans in the trees.
We stopped at this one house and got down to talk to the people.
VERY NICE PEOPLE AND THE HOUSE WAS KILLER.. the people were from florida, she was as stain glass maker. lots of Artist and really nice people live up there in nature. Earlier the monkeys did a drive by across the canopy of the trees, right in front of us.

This house was also magazine material. Love it it had individual pane glass with wood sashes that were in panels they opened in sections so you could have the whole window open or only one panel or two or three. The verandas over looked the rain forest. This is were we were at in the rain forest. The pool was so pretty sitting next to all the trees and you could see a stream below rushing and hearing it was soothing.
They had an all glass clear shower in the master bath. VERY NICE and tile here is the only surface used on the floors and in baths.
The counters were Granite and in a pale color so it was very well done the craftsmanship on the wood was from the artisans in the village.

This was really a village I neved have seen one and now I know what they are. Nothing is located in one central area such as a commerce area its all spread out all over the hills. THe bakery was John marcs brother in law it was down the hill from the guest house. I went there and bought fresh bread baked that morning. He bakes three times a week, and the people from the village come and buy. Right now As I sit here typing away I am drinking coffee after my work out this morning and getting completly soaked from the rain on the ride back, well Im drinking coffee and eating a cupcake that he baked made with coconut that they gather there in the village.
The bread is excellent, he is french, and the cupcake is dry not sweet but good with coffee.

That night we had supper of chicken sauteed with onions and peppers kinda fajitas? but better and carrots and these pototoes with a cream sauce and Alfredos fresh baked bread. We drank Mechiladas and then wine.
After I watched the first Tv since I have been here and it was CNN. I was shocked to hear about all the planes crashing. This one in Peru.
Then Alfredo came up and we talked with Madi and his son and Nelson the sercurity gaurd. Or I tried to talk to them in Spanish, not Madi she just listened.Alfredo was eyeing me I could tell. We laughed allot and she did too.

The next morning I woke up to the smell of the same sweet sent, That I smelled the day before in the rain forest, only it was sitting on my night stand.
The evening before the Curious one I am, was walking around the grounds before supper. I found there orchard, and all sorts of birds and fireflys, some tucanettes, and another bird I did not recognize. I didn't bring my chart. Looking for the smell. I found it!! It was a really different looking tree kinda tall lanky looking with down swept limb's and leaves. The flower was green and slightly yellow the smell was heaven. It was ylang ylang wow I know I have smelled this in bottles but in the real live sense of it it was so good. I picked it and smelled it all the night before and laid it on my bed next to me while I slept. This is what I smelled in the Forest. STRONG AND SWEET AND SUCH LIKE A WAFF OF PURFUME. SO RELAXING

We ate a wonderful breakfast of fried tomato with garlic, and two fried eggs, toast and fresh papaya, watermelon and banana.
John Marc took us then to see the available properties. Wow ok one was Killer but it was 200 thousand over looking all the area a 360 if you will. Then to Madis, not such a good location and kinda filled with Timber bamboo. Difficult to remove if you know anything about bamboo? This one was massive. Anyway they talked I walked and then looked around. We drove up a hill to see other ones in my price range which was about 35 to 45 thousand.I was also looking for Clint and Hap, they said they wanted to be near me. But the location for the only one I saw was not great it was arid, reminded me of Fresno, and it was hot. There was a breeze but No it looked down into a valley and it was secluded. That was the only one I could possibly afford to buy and build on. So I say no this time.

We go back to met with lunch, Shrimps sauteed in butter and garlic, with fresh salads and yummy cool avocado, tomato and cucmber all soaked in lemon. Fresh Lemonade that Alfredo just made. YUM.. The best. After I changed got my suit on and went for a swim. It was hot and humid and I needed to cool down. Although Madi was way worst than me, and she came from Nevada where its hot, but I think I have already gotten acclimated to the areas. I was hot but not really sweating. She was drenched.

The pool was hot too but it felt good.
I layed in the chair in the over cast weather and it felt warm and cozy I slept a bit and then I heard splashing. It was one of the german shepards swiming in the pool.
Later the other person who works there took us on a field trip to the la playa ventana, the windo of the ocean or the beach. WOW Stunning. the palm trees right up to the water and the caves and the moutains come right to it. Crabs running all over. If you email me I will send you a video clip. Marianna.love@gmail.com. The ocean was warm, but not as warm as Jaco. The palms were growing right out of the coconuts and some were small and some were huge.

The beach was littered with drift wood. reminded me of my child hood when my folks would take us to places to collect drift wood for the garden. I was really feeling good here.
Then we went to see the rest of the area, the new nursery, and the super merchado, not so super to me.

The Liquor store, where I bought some African wine and some Chilean wine. Pretty reasonable. like 3000 colones, around6.oo dollars. plus I didn't have enough so she gave it to me for like 5 bucks.
After I asked him to take us to the internet cafe, but I couldn't get on line. And if you will believe this they sell these fake palm leaves to put on the roof there imported from Canada? WHY??? when you could get the real thing for nothing, and replace it every four years? DUMB AMERICANS IN MY OPPINION... STUIPIDO. PLASTIC IN A PLACE LIKE THIS!! NO
Ok on to other ... then we went to the bakery and I bought the best hot bread and took some photos of the place very cute and very good.
Went back and had dinner of fish soup, and red snapper with the perfect crust on it maybe coconut? but it was delicious. Some mashed white sweet potato that was delicious. carmelized bananas flambe, and creme brulee was the desert.
I felt sad about not being able to buy and live it is a great opportunity. But I did learn a few things , not to mention the treatment was so needed. A hot shower a nice room, pretty with the colors I planned on using in my home here... and the architecture of the place was inspiring to me. When you see the photos here later you will understand why I felt like I did.

I felt so relaxed in this place. WISH I COULD but its not feasable.
The next morning I got up around 6:00 got showered and dressed, then walked aroung and took some photos. Smelled the air and wish the place good bye. Alfredo was making eggs with veggies, and fresh fruit and toast. Wonderfull Costa rican coffee. He had talked to me in spanish and asked for my phone or email. So I gave it to him after Breakfast, we hugged and he said he wanted me to return in December to go with him or to take me to San Vito, Well my family in Sicily were from an Area Called San vito, but this is In Costa Rica. It is all Italian Community. I just may do this. It could prove to be a very fun and interesting trip so I will see.

Mark Syndey showed up around 8:45 to pick me up and his driver. We rode back over the Beautiful Dominical Hyway, then on the rocky bumpy pothole hell. I think I drank too much coffee, ,y kidneys were hurting bad and I did not feel well. During our drive we stopped at his little bar in the middle of nowhere so Icould use the restroom we picked up a traveler and gave him a ride, then we rain into a heard of bramhas that filled the road so we had to stop. I took pictures.
We talked about property my ideas and my budget. I think he was disapointed, but OH WELL... Besides the creative person I am will have a good place no matter!
He told me about a project near Jaco, in Hermosa that is going to be about the same as there. So maybe I will do that for now and at least have a great place to rent out to people and my own during the times I want it.
IT may take a year to build it but I might just do it. I go on Monday to tour the area with him, and I will be showing it to some other people who are following this blog and want to meet me!
I am a people person anyway.
It will be hard to start over. But I am going to give it my best. Hermosa is pretty and the hills where they are building over looks the la playa. So it will be nice. Not far from The hustle and bustle of Jaco.

Getting into Jaco was a bit despressing after that, since it is dirty here, and not very good. But for now this is where I am. The house was hot, when I opened it. Jordan called right away missing me allot poor thing... I miss him too he told me about the baby its a boy,Julian, after John lennons son??? Ok I do not like the name. they will call him JULES... Maybe Iwill call him something else I have a habbit of this anywho..
NANCY IS EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT! ok how the hell could they not know she was eight months pregnant? I kinda thought she was when I was there. Months ago.

Then the moment I got on the phone with Jordan, Danelia and Gloriavell showed up. I guess they missed me. They were laughing and talking didn't knowI just got home.
All day they hung out until night, they asked If I wanted to eat I said yes so they walked to the soda and got some food and brought it back. Its like 150 feet away very close.
We ate during a huge Thunder storm. It was loud commanding our attention. The lightning was awesome filling the whole sky.. I can not wait to see it again, only this time Im sitting outside to watch. REALLY WILD AND VERY VERY LOUD HERE.

I was looking at Gloriavell when I saw tears in here eyes she told me in Spanish she had gotten thrown out of her house which was a mud hole anyway. I felt bad I didn't quite understand the whole thing actually. But in a hour I was walking with her and Danelia to the Soda to return the plates and she called a cab. Told me to get in so I did with her and Danni.. We went somewhere I was like K where are we going??? I just went along with it.
Come to find out to the hole where she was staying to gather her belongings and now she was going to stay with Danelia in her tiny cabina the size of a dinning room table. OK I WAS SHOCKED.. we came back she had to go to work at 10:00 asked if she could shower. Of course I said yes. she did and left all her things here . Danelia fell sleep on the couch, and she went to work all night. When I woke up I heard a tapping and a whistle. This is what everyone does.
Funny, my father always whistled when he approached anyone. They whistle here at you before you come out.. So I knew it was someone for me to open the gate. I let her in and she was tired so I suggested she sleep in my bed. Today I have to tell her she can't stay here I feel bad but I can't do this I do not think AMANDA WOULD LIKE THIS.
For now she is sleeping Danelia went to work
I came back from the gym and beagan this hours ago and now I shower, go to the farmers market, then talk to Aida, about work and business, and a place to stay for a month.
Then back here cook and then We are all going to the Disco Central tonight to Viya, dance!!

Monday's Catch up Marianna In Costa Rica

I Never did put Ziada's house and photos on, nor did I put the Furniture in Hermosa, Also some photos of the tres Tico amigos, some of Jaco... but there is much more to come.

Its Monday, got up around 6:15, I never dreamed I would be getting up this early, but here it seems easy. The sun comes up so early, and like wise the setting of the sun goes down early. I slept in wonderfully clean sheets, and the smell of them from hanging on the line was an added sensation. When you nuzzel your nose to those clean fresh smells it almost makes you want to sleep longer, but I didn't. Why is it that when I arise I begin to clean up the house? Curious thing to do when you first get up? Costa rican rise? Its not just me, I noticed when I ride early in the morning on a bike there are lots of people buzing around, as though they have been up for hours.
Some people go to bed early here and early to rise like the sun.

You can hear the birds, in the morning but not like any song I can describe. Some sound like babies crying, some sound like loud chirping.

I alway make the coffee first, stumble about till my eyes open, and then struggle to drink it. But today was different. I got right up make coffee, and began to clean, get dressed to work out and poured my self a big jug of water to take in the basket on the beach bike. But one problem the seat was broken by the LOCO TRES AMIGOS yesterday and well I pinched the hell out of my leg when I hit a pot hole and made a huge blood blister. So with that in my head while drinking my coffee I made a plan. I decided to go to the bike shop and have them fix the seat, I needed to go to the Banco National and change money and then check out places to stay. So that when Amanda and Rich return I can tell them I no longer will be staying here.

So I made my agenda in a matter of minutes for the day. But first I want to talk about last night and the goings on. I took the bike to the store, in the central part of the blvd, to get Soap and cloro, ( bleach) so I could wash all the laundry from the house rental. I talked to Aida,
Aida is the owner of the house's I am taking care of, Amanda and Rich are the leasees... I am the care taker for the next couple of weeks. I really never talked about who was who here. But there it is what more can I say! Aida has become attracted to me, not in the way you may think but as a friend that could help her in business. She really seems to like me allot, and well Amanda and her I do not believe get along as well.
Aida tends to tell me everything this is my life story here, everyone always tells me everything??? why I don't know but I find it humorus and interesting. Aida and I talked after I went on the ride just for a few minutes. I stopped at the soda on anita in the alley by my house, I wanted to eat casada a plate with everything on it, there it only cost around 3 dollars for the whole dinner. I looked an only had a fifty dollar bill, Danelia said no no qeince, no... so I had to take the bike back to the house and find s a small bill to use. When I got back she was busy so of course me being a friend had to wait till everyone was served. Which meant I was starving and still had to wait a long time for the food.

There were these two Americans sitting there, that I had seen the night before drinking beer there. Its all open no walls only block planters with plants and some iron bars that they close at night. I said hi to them and they recognized me. No talking , then I orderd it took forever.. I just tapped my fingers looked at the dogs watch the kids play in the mud, and watched the hookers walk down the street from the alleyway.
Then my food came it was chuleta, a pork chop with carmelized onions, and carmelized banana's and rice and great beans. With this weird pasta with chicken sauce and chicken it, but served cold.
As I savored every little crumb, I noticed this guy coming in and talking really loud, ok I knew who he was it was Carlos De Ciutiis, an Italiano guy from New York. He talked to Danelia loud I mean loud I felt at home.. then he saw me sitting by myself, and began talking to me in Spanish.. I responded the best I could my spanish SUCKS.

He then asked If I was tica? I said no, he said ohhhhhhhh Italiana?? I said si.. asked me if I only spoke Spanish, I replied NO ENGLISH! he said Oh you speak english , of course I said. he then got up got his drink and said can I sit with ya in a leaned over fashion, putting his face in mine. now what could I say? Yes I said so he sat and talked and talked and talked I laughed at him he was comical, and really nice you could tell. Bald head tan, and about 44 he continued to tell me he surfs everyday about 5 to 6 hours then sells real estate. Ok thats a nice life.

We got to talking he thought I looked like family members, I told him I write a little bit and that this was suppose to be one of my positions here.
He said YOU WRITE? I said I try... He said oh well I have a screen play I need written, and do you type well? I said pretty well?? then he told me his brother inlaw owns some production company in hollywood.
Yep he said do you know the show Will and Grace? Who the hell doesn't? I love that show!! yes I said he said and the simpsons? I said yes.. supposeably thats there's. So he asked me to write it for him so I guess there is another opportunity here In JACO. Were going to get an attorney and a contract and begin soon on the screen play it should be funny and pretty darn good!!

I knew about him before I met him because I had asked aida about him. So the evening went well, he invited me to dinner which means here that they treat. That is their saying. I invite you. Next time on me.

I walked back and thought about the night seemly went good a typical Pura vida, not expecting anything and great things happen. Just go with the flow.

Back to the morning:

After I drank coffee, i ate some sandia( watermelon) and a churio I got yesterday at the panarella. it was filled with carmel oh it was good with the coffee. Then I loaded my stuff up my little pack with my passport my money and my camera. Rode like a mad woman about a mile or so over all those potholes praying it wouldn't pinch the fat part of my tender inside thigh. Do you know how that hurts to pinch that? GOD!! I WANTED TO SPIT..
Got to the gym at the end of Jaco, to find out no Natalie today. They were going to finish the upstairs today. So they cancelled the class. As I began to walk down the spiral staircase,( they all have spiral here? I don't know why?) The owner a isrealie guy green eyes came to me saying um mame you can come in and I will personal train you. So I did. I spent 15 minutes on the olyptical, then I did weights, then I did sit ups, then pull ups and then more and more and more ended with good music by this time there were allot of people in there and he turned the music up for me, I was dancing of course! and he loved it so did the other Tico women and couple of Americans.
I got back on the broken bike with no brakes... and rode slowly to miss the taxis and the huge buses. I saw a pet shop today so I stopped and looked at the tropcial birds some cute ones I wanted one singing so pretty, I looked around and saw it was a vet shop too, all kinds of stuff garden supplies.. strange here, they do whatever where ever.

With cars on both sides of the street, parked wrong way to us, and people walking and bikes flying.. I rode off to see what else today was an adventure day. I rode down this rode and found this really cool restuarant called the posienden, and a few other places. A pharmacy, and some various places. Even a cool discotec actually two of them I didn't know about. And Sex shop.

Sex here is very alive.. they are an open people. It is appparent that they are very sexual people. From the guys learing at you to whistling, to smiling to knodding, to just bold head turns.

I went to the beauty shop but it wasnt open to see how much a pedicure costs? around 4000 colones.
Then I rode to the banco National, and walked through this holding box you have to go into it before entering the bank it exrays you. To see if your carring any weapons or metal or whatever.
Ok I set off the alarm. I had a camera, and my cellphone. So they have these safe boxes outside and you leave all your belongings in them and get the key. Then you go back through the glass box and they clear you to enter. The guard stands with eyes on everyone, arms folded. STARING BOLD AT ME... YIKES! I was smilling though. He points to stand on the lines I quickly stand hoping not to pee my pants. I was soaked from working out and you could see the sweat on my clothes. Besides it was like a hundred percent humidity. GEZZZZZZZ who wouldn't sweat?

I finnally got up there and I looked at the sign to pronounce what I wanted to do. sounded good to me. He changed my money smile and I left.
Rode down the road and watched all the toursits wandering around looking for breakfast.

I made it to the bike shop. A very tiny Tico man, very dirty greazy hands clothes ect... I tried to ask in spanish to repair my seat. I just needed a bolt and nut. the two on the back needed to be screwed down tightened up. BUT NO he wouldn't do it knew I was a gringa... just ignored me. I said it again he said NO... I said porfavor??? NO I said only nuce.. a nut. No he said I needed a whole seat. AH BULLSHIT IKNEW BETTER!! he insisted. Then some how I got his tools and turned the bike upside down and began to work on it. One of his friends showed up and watched me as I fixed it. I did it!! I asked him to put air but believe me it was on his time. So I just waited
I went next door there was a small salon I asked how much for pedicure she said 3000 colones, around 6 bucks.
So I said next thursday. She agreed, he filled the tires and I left the seat spun, and this friend of the salon lady came runnign out to help me. We both worked on and I left.
When I got back here I went on line to check mail no mail..

So chatted with a local guy then I went and cleaned up the messy house.

Right Now as I type I can hear the disco down the road the Monkey bar playing good music. it echos here. I can not hear the Ocean tonight. Only crickets, and katie dids.

Earlier some lady tapped on the gate wanting to sell me some stuff I said no, before that some guy with pillows tapped and wanted to sell me stuff. Then Again while I was on the phone with Brandon someone tapped. It was Danelia.. she just wanted to rest, we ate hilado...Ice CREAM!! JUMMY as they say not yummy but JUMMY! It was David Crosby, from Crosby Stills Nash and young. HMMM JACO... you know ya nevah know who or what is going to happen?

He was with this nice looking older guy, but I forgot his name.. guess old age is setting in or is it just that I need GINKO?

Well tomorrow I go to Dominical. I am very excited bout this. I think it is going to be beautiful! I can not wait to show pictures on here!!

Its south of Jaco about three hours. With San Isidro as the main city. There is allot of coffee grown there so it should be astounding. When driving to San jose Friday the coffee plants just grow everywhere on the moutain sides, as well as the cornstalk plants we use in our homes as house plants. But picture them ten to 30 feet tall. Amazing! and impatients grow wild everywhere.

SO cant wait to see what it it like there!!
