Sunshine /construction/ noise in the morning

The little river next to my house
Our river, White Ibus

My new Micro wave!!! I want to install it above the tiny little stove I have.

The chairs were light color, with ugly fabric in a watermelon color. One day I sat here looking at them thinking what can I do? I can not afford new chairs I got the idea to tint the wood.. cover the seats. Now they are beautiful! for me anyway... the fabic is a sude, micro fiber. The base is a root and you can see the glass

This is in the new park, at one time this was a natural swamp, where lots of wild life was right across the street from Rossies Cafe.. Cafe Del Mar.. but now its all paved, with out much planting, the remains of Iguanas that use to live there still come down, some are agressive because its there place and there curious as to what is this now? why are these people here? THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL ORANGE AND GREEN AND VERY LARGE.

Me Orhpa, Rossie.

I got these for my landlord to put on corners here on the grounds. We are planting twisted trunk ficus, they grow enormus here naturally. In the base low flowering trailers to hang down.

This week was not peaceful, first it started out that the construction across our little river begins at 6:00 am daily now for about a month.Recently the noise is so much louder because of drilling sawing, and saws cutting metal. Yesterday I woke to the sound of a catapillar tearing up the whole field across the way. No birds no animals no sounds of a peaceful morning. The building is for alcoholics anonoymus. Its not a pretty building, they tore out all the old bread fruit trees, trees that have probably been around for hundreds of years. Nothing was saved.

So now we look at a stark field and a badly designed building directly across from our Modern architectural building and river. The flow of the river is low right now in rainy season its full now has about 8 inches of water.

Ok I need to go back to my birthday... First on my birthday nothing happened. I didn't go with Rossy or my friends. I was here in the house. The following day I went to the Casino with another friend just to hang out, I do not gable, but I had a drink and watched. I stayed for about two hours and went home. About three am I got phone call from the same girl, she was out front wanted to talk with me. I let her up, why I don't know? She was drugged up I could tell. It started out very nice apologizing for things she had done and said she missed me as a friend. Then soon the story changed, she began telling an elaborate story that she spun. I tried to tell her it wasn't so.. WRONG!!!.. when someone is on drugs which I think was coke. You can not reason , talk or begin to deal with them, after about two or three minutes of this. I told her to leave, now its about 4:30 am. I am exhausted she won't go I finally pushed her out the door and locked it.

That same morning my client who I had worked for a month ago, called about 7:00 am for me to buy some items for the balcony. Waking me up with this call I was not super pleasant. Two hours of sleep is not much to go on. I got up did what he asked, and carried on with my day listening to all the noise next door, with heat of the day draining me to the point of frustration.

Not a pretty week..

Sewing now three days for my nieghbor, I have been helping her transform the whole apartment .In return, one day after my birthday, she had a huge box sitting out front?????? I looked but walked past it. She came put it inside my house. I asked what is that for? she said well your birthday! I opened it and to my surprise it was a new microwave. Here Microwaves are expensive, I didn't have one nor a toaster, nor other nessesary kitchen items. But little by little!

I was so shocked this may have cost over $300 dollars. YES HERE MICROWAVES ARE EXPENSIVE<>

She said she felt bad, she knows I try very hard to work. She continued to say you have changed my life in my home, my place looks so beautiful, and I appreciate all you did. So Wow What a shocker... THANK YOU DEAR!!! I kissed her we talked and yesterday went together to the fair that is going on in our new park, and bought gorgeous pots made by indians.

All week there has been an art in the park here in Jaco something new, very updated. Jaco is getting the feeling of becoming a very modern community. Soon I am sure it will be completely sufficient! It is still primative according to USA standards, but for here it really is coming along. Frankly I kinda like it the other way to be honest.. but it is nice to have cultural events and now new things.

Night before last, Orpha my other friend invited me and one other Rossy not my Rossy but another one, to dinner.

We went to Pelicanos, and great place on the beach in Herradura. The food is first class and the service is pretty good. We had clams with cream sause of hearts of palms, artichoke hearts, garlic and cheese baked in the oven Wow!! Garpachio of Tuna, and I had Tuna steak with fresh mangos. We drank wine and I got drunk on two glasses.. ( it is because no rest this week no sleep because of noise and people) I came home crashed on the sofa with my computer on my lap.. the door open Tele going.

When I woke up I had no idea where I was.. I saw the door open it was about 3:00 am and the computer laying on its side. Ok I was out of it! Thank god we have a gate down below that is locked now most of the time.. so I felt very safe.

Then last night I started to watch a movie and just fell alseep about five minutes into it. BADDDDDDDD tonight I am invited by a visitor who came here four years ago and was asking where I am. It should be interesting because I have changed so much.. wonder if they will recognize me? NO!

But first today I am going to The la ferria to buy fruits, and veggies and hopefully another orchid. I am so addicted to orchids! I have right now 6 .. My balcony is absolutely full of plants. Plants make me happy and provide such a nice atmostphere about the house.

Good things have happened this week aside from no rest and BUSHA!!( noise)

I manage to get a client to rent a condo for my client. It somehow just worked out, and I made a nice commission for it! Also I got paid from him so I am feeling good about this.

I may have one more project in a couple of weeks..

I now have a dinning room table I designed a beautiful dinning room table for my apartment, and Euegeno the man who makes the furniture out of tree roots, and findings from the beach made me a beautiful bleached wood base for my dinning room table.

I had gone the glass store to see how much a piece of glass would cost. They had an oval that a gringo ordered and didn't buy. It's very large and beveled. The first time I looked at it he wanted 150 bucks, I called many times for them to bring it here so I can see if it would fit the base. Finally after much convincing they came. It worked perfect and they charged me 40 thousand colones, equal about 76 dollars. So I manage to get a nice table for very reasonable. I painted my exsisting chairs and covered the seats with this sude its very nice now, the material cost me about 30 dollars so that was not bad at all. My place at the moment is actually better than I have had in a few years. Well off to the Farmers market, and on to my day.
